2015 Porsche 918 Spyder Specs
The 918 Spyder features a 608-horsepower V8, paired with a 154-horsepower electric motor for the rear wheels and a 125-horsepower electric motor for the front wheels. The result is an all-wheel drive model that delivers up to 887 horsepower, 940 lb.-ft. of torque and enough electric propulsion to cruise for up to 18 miles without any gasoline. The 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder maxes out with a factory-rated top speed of 217 mph. The supercar sweetens the deal with remarkable fuel efficiency, offering a combined fuel-economy rating of 67 mpg.
The highly sought after Weissach Package brings improved aerodynamics, shaving off 90 lbs. from the model’s total weight. Only about 25% of all 918s were blessed with the optional package, making it an incredibly rare find. The package allows the model to jump from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 2.5 seconds and reduces curb mass from 3,715 lbs. to 3,616 lbs. Some slimming additions featured in the package include magnesium wheels, a lighter brake design, ceramic wheel bearings and titanium bolts for the chassis.
