Porsche has slowly been unveiling the various members of the new 911 generation and has officially unveiled the 2021 Porsche 911 Targa. During the virtual debut Porsche showcased the all-wheel-drive 911 Targa 4 and 911 Targa 4S models. 2021 911 Targa 4 and 4S Stands Apart 

One of the most distinguishable features of the 911 Targa is its fully automatic roof system. Fitted with a Targa bar, a wraparound rear window, and a retractable roof section above the front seats, the 911 Targa 4 and 4S stand apart from the rest of the lineup. This automatic roof can be opened and closed in just 19 quick seconds with the touch of a button.  

2021 Porsche 911 Targa Performance 

The 2021 911 Targa 4 and 4S both come fitted with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission as well as all-wheel-drive Porsche Traction Management. Shoppers looking for a different setup can opt to equip the 911 Targa 4S with a seven-speed manual transmission, which comes at no additional charge.  

A 3.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine sits beneath the hoods of the 2021 Porsche 911 Targa 4 and 4S. Porsche 911 Targa 4 models equipped with PDK and the Sport Chrono Package deliver 379 horsepower on the road and can get from zero to 60 mph in just 4.0 seconds. Porsche 911 Targa 4S models, on the other hand, manufacture 443 horsepower and hit 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds. In regard to top track speed, the 911 Targa 4 peaks at 179 mph, while the 911 Targa 4S tops out at 188 mph.
