Porsche Earns Top Spot in J.D. Power APEAL Study

J.D. Power Names Porsche Among APEAL Study Rankings 

In this year’s J.D. Power 2020 U.S. Automotive Performance, Execution, and Layout (APEAL) Study, the Porsche brand has been ranked highest among all automotive brands. For the second year in a row Porsche has earned the top spot, showcasing its commitment to providing the best automotive experience for owners. Porsche Earns Second Consecutive J.D. Power Honor 

During the J.D. Power Automotive Performance, Execution, and Layout Study, various automotive owners had their emotional attachment and level of excitement with their new vehicle assessed. The study looked at over 35 different attributes to determine rankings and assessments. The 1,000-point scale measured each owner’s sense of luxury and comfort in the vehicle, how they feel getting into the driver’s seat, how much power they feel stepping on the gas pedal, and more.  

The premium brand average in this year’s J.D. Power APEAL Study was 861 points out of 1,000 and Porsche earned 881 points overall. Responses for this year’s study were gathered between February and May of this year and the study collected responses from over 87,000 automotive buyers and lessees of new 2020 vehicles. Surveys took place after 90 days of new vehicle ownership.
